How this product works
4 of 8 auto-negotiation RJ45 ports (port-1 to port-4) of the switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE) function. These PoE ports can automatically detect PoE devices and IEEE802.3af-Powered Devices (PDs) supply. In this situation, the electric current is transported together with the data in a single cable. The device makes it possible to expand your network where there are no power lines or outlets, and where you want to operate devices such as access points, IP cameras or IP phones, etc.

Behavior on overload
The TL-SF1008P has a priority * function which helps to protect the system when the system power is overloaded. If the total power consumption of PoE PDs is greater than or equal to 53W, priorities are allocated among the PoE ports. The system then determines the current distribution and the supply of power to the port off the lowest priority.
Ideal for attractive triple-play Experience
Port VLAN binds specific LAN ports and PVCs for complex services such as IPTV. The integrated QoS engine of the TD-W8951NB offers different QoS settings to help you prioritize Internet traffic to enable easy IPTV streaming and lag-free online gaming. Thus, users can take advantage of a fault-free network connection, to have no fear of congestion. Combined with IGMP multicast and IGMP snooping features this makes the TD-W8951NB an ideal solution for your multimedia applications.
Port-priority function
Priority (Port 1> 2 Port> Port 3> Port 4): This function is there to protect the system when the PoE power is overloaded. For example, the ports 1, 2 and 4 respectively 15.4W (Maximum Power per Port 15.4W) use, the overall performance is 46,2W (PoE Max LED is then red). If an additional PD is connected with 10W on port 3, the system will turn off Port 4 to avoid the damage. This means that on port 1 and 2 respectively 15.4W and 10W at port 3 can be consumed. At Port 4 will power be supplied.
Easy to handle
The TL-SF1008P is easy to install and use. It requires no configuration. With desktop design, outstanding performance and the quality of the 8-port 10/100 desktop PoE switch TL-SF1008P is TP-LINK is a great choice for expanding your home or office network.
