The DGS-1005D supports speeds of up to 2000Mbit / s (full duplex) and flow control according to IEEE 802.3x for fast and continuous data transfer operations. To ensure reliable data transfer even in time-critical applications, the desktop switch supports the protocol 802.1p (QoS).

Green Ethernet

As the first provider in the network sector equips D-Link from its new series of Gigabit switches for small and medium enterprises with the Green Ethernet technology. This eco-friendly appliances reduce energy costs by reducing power consumption, less heat generation and achieve a longer life, without compromising the performance or functionality.

Power Saving Function

The automatic shutdown of unused ports ensures drastic power savings up to 40% in the periods in which the PCs are turned off. In short Ethernet cables (<20m) the signal strength of these connections is reduced and throttled the power consumption.

Environmental Protection

All D-Link products meet the RoHS Directive that prohibits the use of certain hazardous substances. The collection and recycling of WEEE WEEE Directive by the manufacturer is guaranteed and only recyclable packaging materials.

Gigabit Ethernet

With 5 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports of the DGS-1005D provides a very affordable entry into the use of 1000 Mbit / s bandwidth, which ensures a fast server systems for relief especially concurrency.

Prioritization

Time-critical applications, the packages must be forwarded immediately to ensure the necessary quality of the connection through the network, must always would be forwarded with the highest priority priority. The D-Link Gigabit Switch guarantee the prioritization according to the IEEE 802.1p based on 4 queues.

Cable diagnostics

The Cable Diagnostics is always carried out directly after turning on the switches and provides automatic adjustment of the best possible data transfer rate, depending on the quality of the cable connection. Moreover, opens and shorts are detected and displayed in the Ethernet cable and circuit connections.
